Sony announces 160GB PlayStation 3 bundle with Call of Duty: Black Ops

If you still haven't given in to your hankering for a PlayStation 3, you might want to check out this promotion Sony is teasing. The company just announced a limited edition PS3 bundle pairing Call of Duty: Black Ops with a 160GB console. For $299, Sony's also throwing in the First Strike content pack -- not too shabby, considering that's the standard price for a bare console. Depending on your proclivities, that may or may not trump a complimentary RC toy or Michael Jackson singalong, but if you've got a taste for first-person shooters, it should be right up your alley. First-time buyers can find it next week, starting on May 31.

Hulu Plus on TiVo promos pop up in stores and online, suggest launch soon

Although TiVo announced it would offer Hulu Plus back in September we're still waiting for it to arrive on those Premiere DVRs. Twitter user @dlayphoto spotted these materials in their local Best Buy promising six months of the $7.99 / month service for free with the purchase of a new box -- with a new price tag -- although it's hard to see if this will apply to existing users as well. The URL on the cards leads to a (now deactivated, but larger screenshots are over at Zatz Not Funny) page where TiVo owners can input their serial number and email address to get access. Judging by the dates on the promotions, things should get rolling within the next month or so, but we'll let you know when we hear something official.

Samsung makes sure each of its 2011 3DTVs have two pairs of 3D glasses to match

If you picked up one of Samsung's 3D-capable TVs this year then the company wants to make sure you're equipped to actually view some 3D action like the currently ongoing NBA Playoffs, a bullriding reality show or whatever you're into. To that end, any customers that didn't find themselves with two pairs of (now cheaper to buy) 3D glasses due to a pack-in deal or starter kit of some type when purchasing a new TV between April 24th and June 25th should go to the official website to get their two free pairs of active shutter glasses. The promotion ends June 25th but according to the press release there will be details on another one released some time before then. Grab your receipt and hit the source link or just check out the details in the press release after the break.
